Sheila Cooney
Sheila is Managing Partner of Patrick Tallan & Co. She practices in contentious litigation and her areas include debt recovery, personal injury litigation, family law and local government issues.
Sheila graduated from UCD with a BCL in 1975 and was admitted to practice in that year. She joined Patrick Tallan & Company in 1977 following four years experience in a large Dublin firm. She became Managing Partner of both offices in 1990.
Brenda Rushe
Brenda is a Partner with experience in commercial and residential conveyancing, family law and all types of contentious litigation including criminal law.
Brenda graduated from National University of Ireland, Galway with a law degree in 1991. She was admitted to practice in 1994. Brenda joined our Ashbourne office in 1997 and was made a partner in 2003.

Mairead O'Reilly
Mairead is a Partner in our Property Department, dealing with both residential and commercial conveyancing.She also has huge experience dealing with probate.Mairead has acted for many developers both in the purchase of the development land and on the subsequent sale of units in these developments. She has also advised purchasers on buying various units, both commercial and residential.
Mairead graduated from Trinity College, Dublin in 1986 and was admitted to practice in 1990. Having worked for legal advisors to one of Irelands leading lending institutions, Mairead joined Patrick Tallan & Co. in 1998 and was made a partner in 2003.

Stephen Cooney
Stephen has a wide experience in commercial property transactions, business law criminal & road traffic offences, and employment law. He spent 5 years working with one of Irelands leading corporate law firms. Stephen also regularly attends the local district court representing clients before the court in criminal and road traffic offences.
Stephen graduated with a law degree from University College Dublin in 2003 having spent a year on an international exchange program at University of Minnesota, USA. He was admitted into practice in 2007 and joined Patrick Tallan & Company in 2010.
